Ancofer Stahlhandel GmbH is a stockholding wholesaler and steel service centre that is specialist in hot-rolled heavy plate (quarto) and flame-cut parts.

As a medium-sized company with around 120 employees and over 70 years of history, Ancofer emerged from Coutinho Eisenhandel GmbH in 1950.

Today, AS is a subsidiary of Dillinger, Dillingen/Saar, Germany, Europe’s leading manufacturer of quarto plates with a hot rolling capacity of 2.0 million tonnes per year.

Over the years, AS has developed into a company that sets standards in its sector.

Intelligent logistics and large stocksOur administration and warehouses are located in Mülheim an der Ruhr, right in the heart of the Ruhr region. Our trimodal handling facilities enable us to work strategically and efficiently.

With our 18 overhead cranes and a maximum lifting capacity of up to 50 tonnes per unit weight, we can move even the heaviest plates without any problem.

Our digital inventory system helps us to locate the plates you require at any time and also guarantees 100% traceability. Since 1993, we have been operating a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001, which is certified by TÜV.

The power of DillingerWe keep around 50,000 tonnes of heavy plate in stock. However, through networking with our sister companies and as part of Dillinger, we have access to a total stock of over 100,000 tons.
