Illicit drug production in Europe has increased and become more diverse. For example, precursors for heroin, cocaine, amphetamines, etc. are increasingly being imported into Europe and processed in drug laboratories there. These local drug mixtures and variants can be added to the scanning library before they become widespread and immediately transferred to all handheld devices used by police, customs and the judiciary in the field.
