TactiScan

TactiScan is a portable and reusable pocket-sized narcotics scanner designed specifically for law enforcement agencies. Police, customs and judicial forces can scan illegal narcotics in the field without putting themselves at risk. Therefore, TactiScan not only serves the identification of drugs and narcotics, but also increases the occupational safety of the users. The easy-to-use mobile app provides reliable readings within seconds. The captured test results can be documented for record keeping and are accessible only to authorized officers in police stations. 

At the heart of the TactiScan is a near-infrared (NIR) sensor. Combined with a mobile server connection, this sensor module enables rapid mass data management. NIR spectrometers are used in many fields, e.g., for measuring material compositions, and have proven their worth in obtaining highly accurate measurement data under laboratory conditions. The TactiScan transfers these laboratory capabilities of drug screening into a cost-effective and portable platform and simplifies investigator´s everyday life without the need for extensive training.

This optical measurement requires no preparation and does not alter the sample in any way, preserving even small sample volumes.
