  • Significantly above 7,000 (2022: 4,759) trade visitors took part in the exhibition for members of security agencies and the armed forces in Nuremberg
  • 540 (2022: 377) exhibitors from 37 countries presented their solutions for domestic and external security in an exhibition area of about 22,000 m²
  • Clear vision of the future: Domestic and external security are more inseparable than ever

Members of security agencies and the armed forces were very pleased to gather again in Nuremberg on 28 February and 1 March 2023. The tenth anniversary edition of the Enforce Tac exhibition impressed significantly above 7,000 trade visitors from about 80 countries. There was a clear focus on variety, innovations and professional interaction. The exhibition provided a venue for the customary high-quality exhibitors, only authorized visitors and strictly accredited media contacts in the sector to meet once again. Enforce Tac is an annual event, and in 2023 was once again under the patronage of Joachim Herrmann, Bavaria’s Minister of the Interior, Sport and Integration. In the usual extremely discreet atmosphere, Enforce Tac once again served as a platform for discussion of pressing questions of domestic and external security in Europe and at a global level.

The supporting programme provided a meaningful complement to a visit to Enforce Tac 2023. Visitors to Enforce Tac 2023 had the opportunity to test equipment especially designed for low-visibility deployment scenarios and the identification of temperature profiles in the “BLACK BOX”, which featured for the first time this year. Themes of current interest to the sector were prepared in an informative way: from the technical discussion hosted by UAV DACH on “Drone detection and defence” to the conference on weapons and protective equipment organized by DHPol, the German Police University. A collaborative arrangement with BayStartup enabled newcomers to the sector to present their products live and in action within the Demonstration Area. Participants benefited from this practical experience and gained a deeper understanding of both products and skills.

True to the theme of “Meeting, interacting and networking”, a side event hosted by Bayern Innovativ GmbH was held, which also reflected the power of innovation of the sector. The motivation behind the new TechHub, created by the Bavarian government, and the resulting services for the sector were presented at this TechHub Lunch.

Looking forward to 2024: The Enforce Tac Village and a clear vision

The exhibition venue provided a lively atmosphere in which to bring exhibitors and their key target audiences together. Many of the trade visitors are involved in making the purchasing decisions in their businesses, and enjoyed both the secure environment and the confidential atmosphere for top-quality interaction. The exhibition offered insights into up-and-coming trends and proven technologies. The anticipation among the participants for the sector gathering in 2024 was already palpable.

“We have already thought of something new for Enforce Tac 2024,” reveals Isabelle Teufert, Exhibition Director Enforce Tac. “We are designing the Enforce Tac Village, a realistic training ground in one of our exhibition halls. Our visitors will be able to test the exhibitors’ products there in a realistic, spacious environment, as well as training in processes and expanding their know-how.” For the 2024 event, Teufert’s team will also reappraise the subject of security once again. “Domestic and external security are more inseparable than ever,” Teufert asserts. “That is why Enforce Tac will be devoted to both aspects equally, providing ongoing support to the security and defence industry.”

Extending the exhibition experience digitally

The exhibition team has extended the exhibition experience digitally with the YouTube format Enforce Tac TV and other Enforce Tac social media channels on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. All the content in the YouTube format will remain available beyond the actual event timeframe. The Enforce Tac social media channels offer an easy and convenient way for industry participants and interested parties to stay up to date with new developments, trends and updates relating to the exhibition.

Bavaria's Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann at the international trade fair "Enforce Tac"

"The developers and manufacturers of high-performance security technology are indispensable for the internal and external security of our state," Herrmann explained after his tour of the trade fair on the first day of the event. Herrmann said that the security challenges associated with the war in Ukraine in particular have brought the topic of 'security' into even sharper focus. "Security is rightly one of the most important basic needs of our citizens," emphasized the Minister of the Interior, according to the press release of the Bavarian State Ministry.

Save the date

In 2024, Enforce Tac will run for three days for the first time, from 26 to 28 February at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.
